Glossy Ibis...


The last Glossy Ibis in Scilly was way back in May 1996 thus there were many angst ridden hours before this bird gave itself up and finally settled on Shooters Pool in Lower Moors.

Bermuda Skink...

While in Bermuda, I was lucky to catch up with the Bermuda Skink on Nonsuch Island. The skink is endemic to Bermuda. It is now virtually extinct on the main island, surviving on off islands with Nonsuch Island vital to its continued existence.
